Established in 1983 by Rear Admiral Philip V. King, CEC, USN, Ret. in honor of his wife to recognize her contribution to his naval reserve career. During the untold hours, days, and weeks of his absences over the thirty years he served as a reserve officer, she lent her support by willingly and efficiently managing their home and family with uncommon self-reliance. She did this without complaint and in spite of a serious handicap which confined her to a wheelchair for most of her adult life.
Endowed Scholarships allow our investors to build a lasting legacy, impacting Seabee children and grandchildren for generations to come. Endowed Scholarships often honor or memorialize family members, Seabee leaders, NAVFAC units, organizations or corporations. Perpetual Named scholarships can be funded at three levels, $60,000, $120,000 and $150,000 and are named by the donor.
