Established in 2007 in memory of Gabe Plockmeyer, the son of Dennis and Jamee Plockmeyer, He traveled the world, both as part of a military family and on his own. Gabe’s educational pursuits had a linguistics focus. A three year stay in Japan as a youth planted the seed for his future educational pursuits. He ultimately graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese. Gabriel pursued a post-graduation career in information technology. He had a passion for cars and electronics, his orange Lexus show car being the center of his attention. In 2007, Gabe died as the result of a tragic accident. This scholarship was established to continue his eagerness to share with others and to perpetuate his spirit of giving.
