The EQCM(SCW) A.A. “Randy” Kuehn, Jr. CTE Scholarship was established in 2024 by Nancy Kuehn in memory of Randy to provide scholarships for students interested in a Career and Technical Education.

Master Chief Kuehn joined the Navy in July 1969 after graduating from Central Nebraska Technical College.

He served at the following Duty Stations:

·       Boot Camp, NTC, San Diego, CA

·       Naval Air Station, Key West, FL

·       CBU 410, NAS, Jacksonville, FL

·       Headquarters Support Activity, Tsoying and Taipei, Taiwan

·       NCTC and CBC in Port Hueneme, CA

·       NMCB Five, Port Hueneme, CA

·       NAS, Dallas, TX

·       30th NCR Detachment in Okinawa

·       NMCB Forty, Port Hueneme where he was selected for Chief

·       Seal Team Six, Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, VA

·       Naval  Special Warfare Development Group, Dam Neck, VA

·       NMCB One Thirty Three, Gulfport, MS where he was selected for Senior Chief

·       NMCB Seven, Gulfport, MS where he was selected for Master Chief

·       U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Seventy-two Class, Newport, RI

·       NMCB Seven, Gulfport, MS returned to become the Command Master Chief

·       Third Naval Construction Brigade, Pearl Harbor, HI selected to be the Command Master Chief

·       Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Master Chief of the Seabees, Washington, DC

Randy retired from the Navy Seabees in 2002.

Endowed Scholarships allow our investors to build a lasting legacy, impacting Seabee children and grandchildren for generations to come. Endowed Scholarships often honor or memorialize family members, Seabee leaders, NAVFAC units, organizations or corporations. Perpetual Named scholarships can be funded at four levels, $30,000, $60,000, $120,000 and $150,000 and are named by the donor.
