Established in 2012 by a gift from the estate of Don and Martha Rogers. Don was a WWII Seabee serving with the 136th Naval Construction Battalion. Don and Martha married in 1950 and bought the Montpelier Auto Auction which they owned for 20 years. Don was the auctioneer and sold the cars and Martha was responsible for the paperwork concerning title transfers and collecting the purchase price of the automobiles. Don passed away in 2002 and Martha in 2012.
Endowed Scholarships allow our investors to build a lasting legacy, impacting Seabee children and grandchildren for generations to come. Endowed Scholarships often honor or memorialize family members, Seabee leaders, NAVFAC units, organizations or corporations. Perpetual Named scholarships can be funded at three levels, $60,000, $120,000 and $150,000 and are named by the donor.
