Established in 2012 by the No Greater Sacrifice Foundation. No Greater Sacrifice is a nonprofit scholarship foundation for children of fallen and wounded warriors. It is a “cousin” of several national wounded warrior organizations, but has the sharply defined mission of funding the college educations of children whose parent was severely wounded in war. The CDR & Mrs. Richard P. Bilden/No Greater Sacrifice Foundation Scholarship is a specialty scholarship established under the NGS umbrella in conjunction with SMSA by NGS cofounders Peter and Philip Bilden in honor of their parents, retired Commander and Mrs. Richard Bilden to accommodate the educational needs of the children and dependents of the Seabee community.
Endowed Scholarships allow our investors to build a lasting legacy, impacting Seabee children and grandchildren for generations to come. Endowed Scholarships often honor or memorialize family members, Seabee leaders, NAVFAC units, organizations or corporations. Perpetual Named scholarships can be funded at three levels, $60,000, $120,000 and $150,000 and are named by the donor.
