Salary: $74,844.00 - $90,948.00 Annually
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs semi-skilled to skilled preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, structural, and security systems;
- May perform minor maintenance and repair to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and boilers at assigned locations.
- Performs facility safety inspections and walk-throughs; establishes routine general maintenance project schedules; estimates costs for repairs, modifications, or additions and makes recommendations to supervisor; writes up work orders.
- Determines scope of work for routine general maintenance and repairs; solicits bids; selects contractors and coordinates contractor work around facility schedules; coordinates multiple routine maintenance contracts simultaneously.
- Operates assigned equipment; reports need for major repair to supervisor.
May develop and implement routine general preventative maintenance schedules. Purchases tools, equipment, supplies and materials.
- Maintains reasonable, predictable, and regular attendance during the standard work week.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of general facility maintenance experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Must be able to pass multiple backgrounds checks as this position will be required to work in the Justice Center.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HVAC repairs and HVAC controls. Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM). First Aid and CPR certification.
