NCTC Memorial Park

Established in 1980, the NCTC Memorial Park serves as a solemn and enduring tribute to honor all military personnel who died while stationed at the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC), Port Hueneme, California.

A memorial stands at the park to recognize the sacrifice of Seabees and other service members who lost their lives while in service to their country during their time at NCTC. It serves as a place of reflection for students, instructors, and visitors to remember those who gave their lives while preparing others to serve.

Individual names honored on this memorial include:

BU2 Larry K. McLaughlin, 1980
CM2 Charlie C. Draine, 1984
PN2 Richard A. Drake, 1984
CMCS Lavern C. Wisebaugh Jr., 1986
Located on board Naval Base Ventura County, this memorial reinforces the deep respect the Seabee community holds for its fallen and embodies the lasting commitment to the values of honor, courage, and commitment.
