ROBERT H.

Age 98, of Valencia, formerly of Shaler, died on February 27, 2024. Born on October 6, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late James E. and Lucile (Synnestvedt) Blair. Beloved husband of the late Jane Weed Ryder Blair, whom he married on August 13, 1988. Loving father of Brian (Nancy) Blair, Jeffrey (Jane) Blair, and the late Daric Blair. He was also the proud grandfather of Greg Blair and Colleen Blair Cluney as well as two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ken Blair; and sister-in-law, Zarah Blair; along with many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a Navy Seabees WWII Veteran, serving in the Pacific Ocean. He went on to work as a sales executive for Sherwin Williams for over 40 years, representing their Dutch Boy line of paints. During his tenure, he was awarded the prestigious National Salesman of the Year Award. He enjoyed playing tennis and was a member of the Men’s Garden Club of Pittsburgh. Family suggests donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Pittsburgh New Church in Point Breeze.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at the Pittsburgh New Church, 299 Le Roi Road, Pittsburgh located in Point Breeze. A gathering will follow in the church hall immediately after the service.
