oalts, Richard Paul KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Richard Paul Coalts, age 87 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Richard was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America. Preceded in death by parents, Donald and Grace Coalts; children, Richard Vore and Ericka Burt; siblings, Raymond Coalts, Donald Coalts, Thomas Coalts, Ralph Coalts, Gordon Vannoske, Francis White, and Gertrude Rucker. Survived by wife of 63 years, Barbara Gray Coalts; children, Janet Hottois and Gloria (John) Cancilla; grandchildren, Anna Murphy, Richard Mourer, Jr., Edward Oechsner III, William Oechsner, Tanya Oechsner, Melissa Nigro, Lindsay Burt, Ricky Burt, Jr., Eric Vore and Scott Vore; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Cancilla and Kayla Cancilla; sister-in-law, Harriet Gray; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in East TN Veteran Cemetery-John Sevier for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service with Chaplain Dexter Jordan officiating.
