Harry J. Partner Jr., 74, Bellwood, died early Wednesday morning, May 26, 2021 at Hillview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Altoona, after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 17, 1946 in Altoona, son of the late Harry J., Sr. and Anna Mae (Bolden) Partner. Aug. 20, 1966, he married Joan L. Lonesky at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years; a son Harry J. “Jim” III and wife, Allison of Walkersville, Md.; a daughter, Heather Jo Partner, of Bellwood; a grandson, Dylan K. of Walkersville, Md.; nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Lady Megan and Lady Amber. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann L. Partner
Harry was a 1964 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and was educated in multiple vocational trades. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam Era. He also retired as a master chief with the Navy Seabees, which included active duty service during the Gulf War/ Operation Desert Storm.
He retired as a project manager at TEI Electrical Solutions, Frederick, Md.
Harry was a member of Horseshoe Curve Chapter 37 Destroyer Escort Sailors Association, Altoona, NERA (Naval Enlisted Reserve Association), Altoona and Mountain Lodge No. 281 Free and Accepted Masons.
He was an avid fan of Penn State football, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. He enjoyed reading and hanging out with the morning coffee club at Houser’s Subs, Bellwood.
Friends will be received from 12 noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the funeral home, with Deacon Kevin Potter officiating.
The family suggests that contributions in Harry’s memory be made to Central Penna. Humane Society, Altoona.
