Final Salute

Charles F. Roderick (Charlie), a resident for many years of Medford, MA and Palm Bay, Fla passed away peacefully on Monday September 16, 2024, with his loving family be his side. He was 92 years young.
Beloved husband of Jean (Graham) Roderick for more than 67 years of marriage. Devoted father of Linda Barrile and her husband Robert (Bob), Laura Roderick, and the late Tom, Mike and Kenney Roderick. He was the beloved grandfather of Paul (Amanda), Matt, Chris (Ashley), DJ (Alex), Carly, Lauren, Brett, Erin and great grandfather to Cole Barrile. Also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlie dedicated and proudly served more than 27 years to our country as a Navy SEABEE, Master Chief. He was a master electrician and held many other licenses including plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration and oil burner. He was the former owner of Besco Electric in Burlington, MA.
“Charlie On The Spot” was always available to help others in need, whether it was a 2AM airport pickup or rescuing a cat from a tree. Invite him to a barbeque and he would rebuild your deck or rewire your house while he was there!
Our Favorite Charlieism is “Nothing is Impossible, it just takes a little longer!”
He enjoyed his many years and adventures with Jean in Palm Bay, Fla, while creating many lasting memories with family and friends.
A graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Day and time to be announced.
In the Spirit of keeping Charlie’s memory alive, it is requested that a “Simple Act of Kindness” be performed to continue Charlie’s legacy of Love and Compassion.
