Carroll “Buster” Fowler

Carroll Frances “Buster” Fowler, 81, husband of Ruth Gregory Fowler for 51 years, died Friday, September 4, 2015.

Born in Anderson County, he was the last surviving child of the late Doc and Winnie Phillips Fowler. A Korean War Navy Veteran, he retired after 32 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He also retired from Fluor Daniel. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church. Buster was a faithful husband and a loving, supportive father and grandfather.

Additional survivors include son, Danny Fowler (LeeAnn) of Williamston; and precious grandchildren, Ashley and Will Fowler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 7, from 12:30 – 2:00 at Gray Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 2:00 in the mortuary chapel with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
