Melvin L Armagost of Marble Falls, Texas passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024. He was born April 15, 1944 in David City, Nebraska to Willard and Phillis Armagost. Known as Mel, he grew up on a small farm and upon graduation from high school he entered the United States Navy where he learned the construction trade in the Seabees from 1962-1966. After the military, he stayed in the same line of work until he retired in 2007. He came to Texas in 1978 and started building homes with his old friend Frank McDowell. He worked hard and enjoyed watching his two sons play sports and supported them in everything they did. He was also proud of their military service and achievements. His grandchildren had a special place in his heart and always loved to spoil them every chance he could, which usually involved ice cream.
Mel is survived by his brother Dennis from Nebraska; two sons, Melvin with wife Sandra and Will from Marble Falls, TX; 4 grandchildren Sulia Armagost from Marble Falls TX, Austin Armagost and wife Avery from Johnson City, TX; and 4 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Jan 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls with services at 2:00 pm followed by a reception.
