Final Salute

Daniel Hoder, 72, of New London, MO, passed away at 10:28 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Hannibal Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.

Daniel was born June 2, 1953, in Cleveland, OH. He was married to Elaine Marie Fulton on June 12, 1983 in Honolulu, HI. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; one son, William W. Hoder; one brother, Roger Hoder (Brenda); one sister, Candy White (John); two granddaughters: Esri Nova and Alyria Luna; and one cousin, T.K. Ohara.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sid Hoder; one son, Daniel James Hoder; and two sisters: Colleen Deer and Dale Ann.

Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy from October 26, 1976 to February 28, 1997, and was a US Navy Seabee, retiring after 20 years of service.

Professionally, Daniel was a retired steelworker.

Away from work, Daniel collected rock ‘n’ roll albums and enjoyed playing video games. Most of all, he enjoyed collecting mugs and coffee cups from all around the world.
