Final Salute

Robert Joseph Wood, Sr. age 80, formerly of Carlisle passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

He was born in Sayre, PA on March 2, 1939 to Luther King and Rose Sheridan.

He retired as Senior Chief after serving in the Navy for 22 years and had numerous awards including being a bronze star recipient.

A lifetime VFW member he also volunteered at church with blood drives, and was an avid dog show enthusiast that loved showing and handling dogs.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Greene Wood and great granddaughter, Nicole Wood.

He is survived by his children, Robert Wood, Jr., Deb McKeehan (Joe Bowling), Cathy Wood (Ed Caudill); grandchildren, Michael Wood (Ashley Eichelburger), Kristina and Barry Hockley, Jr., Robert Wood III (Felisha Vera), Caitlyn Caudill, Jessica Bowling, and Brittany Wood; great grandchildren, Ethan, Naomi, Jayden, Gunner, Layla and Kashton.

Services and reception will be held 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Church of Christ, Carlisle.

Interment will be 3:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
