Charles C. Townsend, Jr. Obituary

Charles Christy Townsend Jr., born on January 3, 1937, in Port Tampa, Florida, to the late Charles and Katherine (Spence) Townsend, passed away at age 81 on May 20, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona.

Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1979, serving two tours in the Vietnam War. After serving in the military, Chuck earned his Associates Degree from Pima College in Tucson, Arizona. He also worked at IBM for 20 years until he retired in 2000.

Chuck is survived by his wife Beverly; sister Karen: his sons, Glenn and Michael (Nicole); Grandson, Nicholas; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00am at Vistoso Funeral Home, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Boulevard, Oro Valley, Arizona, 85755.
