Michael E. Sano Jr., 91, passed away Saturday February 10th at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany.Born and educated in Albany, Michael was the son of the late Michael and Catherine (Ant) Sano Sr. A Navy veteran of WWII, Michael worked for Ward Baking Company as a route salesman for over 20 Years.A member of the Rotterdam Elks Lodge, the Rotterdam Eagles, the Rotterdam Senior Citizens and the Marine Corps League, Michael was also a life member of the Davisville Seebee’s Base, Veteran’s Seebee’s of America Island 10, the American Legion, the Schenectady DAV, VFW Sheedy-Palmer Post and the Schenectady Veterans of WWII.Predeceased in 1987 by his wife of 20 years, Mildred Vrooman Senechal Sano, He was also predeceased by a son, Paul and brother, Thomas. Michael is survived by his children, Michael Sano III (Judy), Richard Sano (Kelly) and Linda Sano; his sisters, Anne Lauterborn and Joan Vischer; granddaughters, Sandra Hamil and Suzanne Senechal; as well as other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 2 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.Spring interment will be held with military honors in the spring.Contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to St. Peter’s Hospice Inn, 316 S.
