Obituary Notice

William H. Minche, Jr. of Glennie, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 25, 2014 in Roseville, Michigan after a long battle with cancer, he was 72 years of age.

He was born June 23, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to William H. and Winifred E. (nee Bell) Minche.

On January 18, 1969 he married Barbara A. Fulks in Detroit, Michigan.

Mr. Minche loved his country where he proudly served and fought during Vietnam as a member of MCB7 of the U.S. Navy Seabees. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

William loved to watch his Detroit Red Wings as well as traveling and camping with friends and family. He also enjoyed trapshooting, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara. Three daughters; Anne (Rich) Biskner of Marine City, Sherry Minche of Algonac and Michele (Bill) John of Algonac. Six grandchildren; Bill, Melissa, Wesley and Michaela Biskner, Cody and Cara John. One sister, Edna Minche-McIntyre, a sister-in-law, Jeannie Hyatt and brothers-in-law, Dr. Tom McIntyre, Bob (Karen) Fulks, Jim (Sandy) Fulks and David (Karen) Fulks. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and some very special friends. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Winifred Minche and a brother-in-law, Scott Hyatt.

Funeral Services along with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Lott Baptist Church, 4257 State Road in Glennie, Michigan. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 121 S. Washington at Tuesday at church from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Pator Elmer Ash officiating.
