James Ryan Wolf known as “Jim” or “Wolfman” born May 14, 1948 – December 29, 2025.
Born to Norm and Deloris Wolf of Latah, WA. Jim graduated from Liberty High School in 1967 before enlisting in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served as a Seabee from 1967-1970 in Vietnam and was honorably discharged with the rank of E-4. He continued to serve the United States Navy in the reserves from Oct 1971-Jan 1973.
Later, Jim went on to become a police officer and served at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department from 1976-1991. He met and married Helen McGinnis on April 5, 1978, spending 47 years together. Jim worked as a motorcycle mechanic, Honda Goldwings being his specialty from 1991-2003 when he fully retired due to health reasons. He liked working on motorcycles almost as much as he liked riding them. His riding handle becoming “Wolfman” among those he rode with. He and his wife Helen moved to Texas in 2011 and he became a member of the Blue Knights where he served as Vice President.
He is survived by his wife Helen, their daughter Kristie Richardson and his daughter Caila Loggins (from a previous marriage) along with Caila’s daughters (his granddaughters) Chloe Loggins and Cassidy Loggins.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Cemetery.
