Mr. Billy Joe Lambert, of Huntingdon, TN passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be conducted by Bro Bobby Jordan and Sis. Billie Allen on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mixie Baptist Church Cemetery, State Hwy 77.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Lambert was born August 5, 1941, to the late Harry Lambert and Imogene (Sweat) Lambert. He was a 1958 graduate of Guntersville High School. He served in the U.S. Army (Military Police), U.S. Navy (Seabee), and U.S. National Guard (E-8) for a combined total of 40+ years. After his retirement from his military service, Mr. Lambert drove a school bus for Huntingdon Special School District. Mr. Lambert was an ordained minister and could be found preaching in various churches when called to fill a need. The most important thing to Mr. Lambert was the lord, his family and his country.

He married the love of his life on November 22, 1962, his childhood sweetheart, they were together for 61 years and from their union they raised two daughters and four granddaughters, whom they later raised after the loss of their daughter Billie Jo Lambert Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Ms. Valeria Lambert, a sister, Ms. Robbie (Travis) Myers of Albertville, AL, a daughter, Donna (Michael) Pinkley of Westport, TN, four adopted granddaughters, Jennifer (John) Barr of Cedar Grove, TN, Cynthia (Casey) Duncan of Selmer, TN, Stephanie (Terry) Wallace of New Orleans, LA and Jessica Lambert of Huntingdon, TN. He also leaves behind four grandsons, Jonathan (Yolanda) Eskew of Holladay, TN, Gaylon (Lindsey) Eskew of Westport, TN, Billy (Toni) Eskew of Huntingdon, TN and David Eskew of Humboldt, TN, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Billie Joe Lambert Hall, a sister Lula Mae Hampton, and a brother Travis Lambert.

Honoring him as honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Eskew, Gaylon Eskew, Billy Eskew, John Barr, Casey Duncan, Terry Wallace, David Eskew, Christopher Eskew, Cole Eskew and Isaac Barr.
