Final Salute

Winston Wood Smith Jr., 79, of Lubbock passed away on April 14, 2025. He was born March 20, 1946, in Colorado City, Texas. Winston was a proud veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee. He was a skilled carpenter among many other talents. Winston married his wife, Brenda Kay, on August 15, 1975. He was loved greatly by his family and was a cherished friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; parents, Icie Hulme Stephens and Winston Wood Smith Sr.; Stepfather, Oliver Stephens; older brother; and younger brother, Wesley.
Winston is survived by: brother, William Smith and wife Kleta; son, Colby Smith and wife RoseMarie; daughter Nicole Smith; granddaughters, Andrea DeChant and husband Dalton, Haley Smith, Ashley Wood and husband Eric, and Lyndsea Smith; grandson, Colton and wife Rebekah; 10 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family looks forward to celebrating the life of their loved one at a later date.
