William “Bill” Anthony Fienga, age 78, passed away on June 9, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1946, in Akron to the late Ben and Helen (Fazekas) Fienga.
Bill honorably served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. He was a plumber by trade and retired from the Plumbers’ Union Local No. 55.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, boating, and enjoying the outdoors at their cottage on Bass Lake in Chardon. After retiring, Bill enjoyed spending his time traveling around perusing the different thrift stores and flea markets.
Bill is survived and will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 34 years, Christine (Stankiewicz).
He is survived by his son, Ben (Evelyn) Fienga; sister, Debra (Donald) Carr; grandchildren, Chad Hoover, Hunter Jirousek, and Benjamin Fienga; sister-in-law, Teri (Gary) Silko; brothers-in-law, David (Mary) Stankiewicz; Steve (Meg) Stankiewicz; and six nieces, five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in-law, David and Irene Stankiewicz; and his daughter, Lisa Jirousek.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home in Medina from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home with a burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
