Final Salute

LIBBY, WAYNE C. Norton Shores Wayne C. Libby, age 82, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born April 30, 1938 in Portland, ME to Vernon and Ruth (Spiller) Libby and moved to Muskegon in 1954. Wayne graduated from Muskegon High School in 1956 and served with the US Navy Seabees from 1956-60. Wayne married Lois J. Kroeze in Muskegon Heights on January 9, 1960. He worked as a supervisor at the S.D. Warren Papermill for 33 years and retired in 1994. Wayne was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Lois Libby; 3 daughters, Debra Libby, Michelle McKee, Janis (Brian) Cottrell; 5 grandchildren, Kaylee McKee, Kris (Hunter) McKee, Brandon, Joey, and Becca Cottrell; 1 great grandson, Kade Mueller; and 1 sister-in-law, Harriet Kroeze. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry St., Norton Shores) with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. Visitation limited to 25 people at a time will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
