Warren (Cully) Lee Dahlstrom, 99, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, in the presence of his family. He was born on June 6, 1926, in Palatine, Illinois to Arnold and Mildred Dahlstrom. He enjoyed growing up with older brother Russell and younger sister Marlene Magnuson in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
After graduation from Arlington Heights High School, he entered the U.S. Navy and served as a Seabee on the island of Guam. He was honorably discharged in June 1945. Cully attended North Park College in Chicago where he met his future wife, Dorothy Carlson. Together they celebrated 77 wonderful years of marriage.
Upon graduation, Cully rejoined Milburn Brothers Construction, a family-owned highway contracting company, which later became Plote, Inc. After 46 years, he retired to Castle Pines Village, Colorado. He was a member of The Country Club of Castle Pines. He enjoyed many years of golf and skiing in Vail with both family and friends.
Cully’s greatest joy was his family. Survived by his wife Dorothy, son Douglas (Carol) Dahlstrom, daughter Diane (Kirk) Johnson, grandchildren, Lauren (Michael) Turra, Meredith (Sandon) Olson, Drew (Sally) Dahlstrom, Dale (Ashley) Dahlstrom, great-grandchildren, Reese, Beau, Cully, Elin, Harper, Lane, Harlow, Ada Anne, Issabella and Lilliana.
Those who knew Cully will remember his loving personality, his infectious smile, warm heart and his deep devotion to Jesus Christ. He was a member of Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church for 31 years, where a celebration of his life will be held on January 30, 2026 at 11:00 am. Located at 10150 E. Belleview Ave., Englewood, CO 80111.
A private interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Cully’s memory may be made to Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church.
