Mr. Ward Franklin Cator

Ward Cator was born on August 28, 1921 in Somerton, Pennsylvania. As a child he would spend summers at Cator’s Cove on Taylors Island, Maryland with his parents Benjamin Franklin and Tacy Cator. Ward attended Villanova University for 1 semester before enlisting in the Navy where he served in the SeaBees in North Africa during WWII. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Dorothy. They were married for 56 years before Dorothy’s passing in 2002. They raised their family in Feasterville, PA where Ward served as a deacon and elder at the Feasterville Community Church. Over the years Ward served as a volunteer at churches in multiple states, most recently at the Chapel at Cypress Cove.
Ward spent his career as a sales representative. He loved boating, photography, and most of all golf, which he played until the age of 92. If Ward called you “Baby”, you knew that he treasured your friendship.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and only son Alan who died at age 12. He is survived by his daughter Pamela (Scot) Anderson and grandchildren Erik (Roseann), Kimberly, and Brent (Jen), and his great-grandchildren Alexa, Jackson, Ethan, and Avery. Private services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
