Mr. Walter Glenn Hulsart

Walter “Glenn” Hulsart, 85, of Neptune City, passed away on Sunday November 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Glenn was born in Neptune and raised in Bradley Beach. He was a 1957 graduate of Neptune High School. He moved to Neptune City in 1964, and it was there that he and his wife Stella raised their wonderful family. Glenn served in the US Navy from 1956 until 1959 as a proud member of Seabee’s. After his service Glenn became a lineman for JCP&L, where he worked for 38 years. He was a proud Life Member and past chief (1974) of the United Fire Company #1, Neptune City Fire Department for 62 years, and a member of the Freemason Lodge # 89. Glenn loved fishing for anything that swam, excelled doing crossword puzzles (in pen), loved camping, and traveling the country doing so. Faithfully watched Jeopardy. He enjoyed remodeling the house, working in his yard, and doing carpentry projects. The thing that he was most proud of and enjoyed the most was his amazing family.
Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Stella (nee Dunfee) Hulsart, his loving children Robert and his wife Carrie, Richard and his wife Michele, and Christine and her husband Richard. He was the cherished grandfather of Kyle, Danielle (Jason) Hayden, Nicole, Walter James (Sara), Adam, Ryan, Brandon, Madison, and Darian; his bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren Caitlyn (Christopher), Ryan (Jamie), Michael, Matthew, Michael, and Caroline. Glenn leaves behind a sister Elizabeth and her husband Greg, a sister-in-law Shirley and her husband Harry, a brother-in-law Owen and his wife Sandy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday December 3, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. There will be a Fireman’s Service at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday December 4, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St James Episcopal Church 605 4th Avenue Bradley Beach, NJ 07720, or the United Fire Company #1 Neptune City Fire Department 56 Laurel Avenue, Neptune City NJ 07753.
