Victor C. Simmons SUNAPEE — Victor Crispen Simmons, 54, of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of Sunapee, New Hampshire, died on Sunday evening, Oct. 10, 2021, in Vero Beach, Florida, due to a motorcycle accident caused by an underlying health condition. He was the youngest son of Richard L. Simmons and Barbara (Fortune) Simmons. Victor was born in New London, New Hampshire, on Aug. 9, 1967, and lived in Sunapee for most of his life. He graduated from Sunapee High School in 1985, and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy (Seabees) as an equipment operator. After the military, he was employed by P-N-L Sheet Metal, as a metal fabricator. Later, he opened his own business in Sunapee, “Sunapee Sheet Metal.” He was later employed by Pine Tree Castings in the maintenance department. He was a member of Local 17 Sheet Metal Union. He then worked as a lead at Melanson in Keene, New Hampshire. Victor moved to Vero Beach, Florida, to be closer to his son and daughter. He was employed by Costal Mechanical in Melbourne, Florida. Victor was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his son, Gabriel Simmons, of Vero Beach, Florida; his daughter, Brianna Willing and husband Tanner Willing, of Vero Beach, Florida; his grandsons, Elliot Simmons and Tanner Willing Jr., both of Vero Beach, Florida; his brothers, Michael Simmons and wife Connie, of Sunapee, New Hampshire, Richard Simmons, of Beaufort, South Carolina; sisters, Charlotte Clay and husband Spencer, of Croydon, New Hampshire, and Bridgett Bishop and husband Roy, of Lakeville, Massachusetts; also, an uncle, two aunts, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Victor loved living life to the fullest. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, riding his Harley, going to family gatherings, fishing, prospecting, metal detecting, music and getting together with friends. Victor was always willing to help anyone in need and will be greatly missed. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge, Newport, New Hampshire, on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 1 p.m.
