The Family of Mr. Tom Costello will receive guests from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. A family interment will follow at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Costello, 78, of Meridian, died Friday, September 22, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a master brick layer and was also a long-time public servant. He served as a Volunteer Fireman and Chief in Boliver County and served with the Boliver County Sheriff’s Department and also with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department. He also served as the Assistant Chief of the Quitman Police Department. Tom was also a Seabee in the United States Navy and epitomized their slogan of “Can Do!” Tom was a man of many talents and Master of all he put his mind to.
Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Costello; children, Tina Neely (Jason), T J Costello (Wendi, Jaime); grandchildren, Joe Pribelsky (Ryan), Tyler Sloan (Katie), Mitch Fletcher (Franki), Danielle Mullins (Brandon), Dana Elliott (Isaiah), Tommy Costello (Lauren), Daniel Smith, Garret Studard and Dalton Studard; two great-grandchildren, Zayne Elliott and Colton Sloan. One sister, Antonetta Medlin, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Mr. Costello is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mauvoline Costello; and his brother Eddie Costello.
The Costello family requests memorials be made as donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to The Shriner’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
