Thomas Patrick McCabe, III, 71, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 in Gulfport.

Mr. McCabe was born in Jacksonville Florida into a Navy family. Tom spent his formative years near Charleston SC exploring the outdoors with his friends and siblings. Tom joined the US Navy Seabees in 1976 and was stationed in Gulfport MS where he met the love of his life Theresa. Tom and Theresa were married in 1979, settled in the Gulfport area, where they raised their three sons. Tom was always skilled at working with his hands and earned his living as a carpenter, construction supervisor, maintenance manager, and HVAC technician. Tom was a Christian and loved his Lord, Jesus. Tom always strove to live his life in a manner that he believed was most pleasing to God whether it was popular or not. He taught his sons to follow their hearts and do what is right no matter the consequences. Finally, Tom was an ardent Patriot. Tom loved and held dear the principles this Country was founded upon and was willing to lay down his life for those principles. He was a man of honor and integrity and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas McCabe, Jr. and Elizabeth McCabe.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Theresa McCabe; three children, Jeremy McCabe (Teagan), Simon McCabe (Rebecca) and Zach McCabe (Ashley); eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Mike McCabe (Cindy), Joe McCabe and Pete McCabe; three sisters, Elizabeth Darrah (Bruce), Kathy Green and Theresa Little (Jim) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Gulfhaven Mennonite Church, 21497 Mennonite Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.

Services will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m.

Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport, is honored to serve the McCabe family.
