Final Salute

Sutton, NH-Thomas H. Patten, 71, of Route 114, died at his home on January 20, 2026.

Thomas was born on September 27, 1954 in New London, NH the son of the late Henry Patten and Betty Lou (Whipple) Moore.

He enlisted in the US Navy Seabees and served for four years.  Tom was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Sutton, NH.

Tommy was employed by the Sunapee School District most recently as a bus driver.

He is predeceased by his brother, Timothy, in 1971; his father, Henry, in 2023 and his mother, Betty Lou Moore, in 2025.  He is survived by a sister, Bonnie Patten Mitchell of Epsom, NH; his stepmother, Joyce Rand of Wilmot, NH; stepsisters, Karen Hardy of New London, NH and Lynn Jones of Rochester, NH; uncle, David Patten of Springfield, NH; aunts, Louise Andrus of Salisbury, NH and Elaine Tracey of Charlestown, NH and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the NH Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH with military honors.
