Thomas C Humphreville Nov. 18, 1947-Oct. 9, 2021
Tommy was a general contractor, business person and rancher in Yucca Valley for over 40 years. He served the country he loved in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee in the Vietnam War. Known as a hard working man by all who knew him, he took pride in the many homes, commercial buildings and convalescent hospitals he built. Ranching was one of his passions, operating the whitewater allotment here locally for over 14 years.
Tommy was also an instrument rated pilot who loved to fly. He flew all over the U.S. and Mexico and really didn’t need a reason to get in that plane and go. He also loved deep sea fishing and enjoyed many trips with family and friends.
He retired to New Mexico where he and his wife of 54 years, Natalie (Red), acquired a large ranch that kept him busy in the outdoors that he loved. Besides raising cattle they worked together to create a successful breeding program to produce quality cutting horses. In doing so they participated and did very well in the competitive cutting horse circuit. They traveled extensively across the United States watching the horses compete.
Tommy had many friends and a large family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Red, their three children, nine grandchildren, his two sisters and other extended family.
He was a tireless man who privately fought a courageous battle with cancer. He will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona
