Pawtucket – Thomas A. Walmsley, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Paula M. (Giroux) Walmsley for nearly ten years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alexander and Theresa (Allard) Walmsley.
Thomas graduated from Tolman High School and was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He is a Seabee veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during peacetime. Thomas worked as a plumber for Delta Mechanical, Warwick, for many years prior to retiring in 2018. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #51 and thoroughly enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brittany Giroux of Pawtucket; a son, Christopher Karsulavitch, also of Pawtucket; two grandchildren, Ava Giroux and William Lamountain; a sister, Karen Buck of Kansas; a niece, Caroline Funk, also of Kansas, and parents-in-law, Thomas and Jacqueline (Lapointe) Giroux of Pawtucket.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 N.
