Graveside service with military honors for Taylor Keith Specht will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Highland Cemetery in Lawton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Taylor Keith Specht, 44, of Lawton, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Lawton. He was born in Duncan, the son of David and Kay (Newman) Specht on Nov. 10, 1979. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1998 and joined the Navy as a Seabee. His service in the Seabees allowed him to travel the world and excel in his projects and craftsmanship. His ribbons and awards include; the National Defense Service Medal, Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, Expert Rifleman, and Good Conduct medal, among others.

Always one to live life to the fullest, Taylor valued family and friendship above everything else. Loyalty, respect, and commitment to family were of utmost importance to him. He enjoyed helping others without looking for gain or recognition. He found solace in nature and enjoyed hiking, camping, and exploring the Wichita Mountains. His favorite activity was cooking a good meal for his family. Some of his accomplishments include climbing to the summit of Mt. Fuji, construction projects in Japan, and visiting sites in Spain as well as serving on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Taylor is survived by his son, Jonathan Specht, and mother, Kay Specht of Lawton; sister, Sara Specht of Marlow; father, David and stepmother Elaine Specht of Denton, Texas and stepsisters: Heather Piper of Lantana, Texas and Channon Sherman of Argyle, Texas and their children. He will be remembered by his aunts and uncles, Dan and Debbie Specht of Stillwater, Larry and Stephanie Milliken of Dallas, Texas and Emil and Mary Cornels of Sayre, and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, L.A. and Lou Newman and Homer and Madelyn Specht all of Lawton, many aunts and uncles, and his nephew Isaiah.
