With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Samuel Tracey, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, on the 13th of January, 2025. Samuel was born on November 17th, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio. He lived a life filled with love, courage, and dedication.
Samuel is survived by his devoted wife of over half a century, Elizabeth Tracey. Their love story began in 1972 and was filled with mutual respect, devotion, and unwavering love. He also leaves behind his adoring sons, James and Matthew Tracey, whose lives have been profoundly shaped by their father’s strength and perseverance.
Samuel’s legacy continues in his four granddaughters, Emma, Brooke, Julia, and Hannah Tracey, who he cared deeply for. He also leaves behind siblings Ken, Dan, David, and Janet Tracey, who shared a lifetime of memories with him.
Samuel was a graduate of Taft High School, class of 1967. Following his graduation, he displayed exemplary patriotism by joining the Navy Seabee’s. He served two tours in Vietnam, a testament to his bravery and commitment to his country.
Outside of his service and family life, Samuel had an avid love for coin collecting. This hobby brought him immense joy and served as a lasting pastime shared with his family and friends.
Samuel’s life was a testament to strength, resilience, and love. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived. His inspiring legacy will be forever cherished by his loved ones.
