Mr. Russell Wayne Anglin

Date of birth 08/26/1935
Date of passing 01/14/2023

Russell Wayne Anglin, lovingly known as Daddy, Papa, Gran Gran, Pastor and friend, passed from his earthly body on 14 January 2023 and entered heaven’s gates to meet his Maker.
Russell was born on 26 August 1935 in Donaldsonville, Georgia. His parents were William and Elizabeth Anglin and he had 13 brothers and sisters. His family moved to Early County Georgia, where he met and fell in love with Bobbie Jean. They married on 20 July 1953. Russell joined the military and served with the Navy in Korea as a Seabee and also in the Air Force until he heard the greater calling on his life, when he was ordained as a pastor. Russell’s life was one of service to his country, love of his family, teacher of the word, and resolute faith and devotion to God. All who knew him loved him. He was leader of the church, a friend to his community and the cornerstone of our family. Our hearts are breaking to lose his gentle spirit, but we know God has greeted him with “well done, you have been a good and faithful servant.”
Russell is survived by his bride of 68 years, Bobbie Jean Anglin, and their three children, Randy Anglin and wife Lori Anglin, Mark Anglin and his wife Tamara Anglin, and his only daughter, Angela (Anglin) Bellamy and her husband Bryan Bellamy. He is also survived by one sister, Clyde Arnold; his eight grandchildren, Lane Anglin, Matt Anglin and wife Lindsey, Holly Trizzino and husband Edward, Jacob Bellamy and wife Kelsey, Amber Tomlinson and husband Adam, Cody Bellamy and wife Emily, Justin Daniels and wife Lisa, and Lindsay McLain and husband Dwayne; and his 17 great-grandchildren, Tyler Anglin, Edward Oliver Trizzino, Charlotte Bellamy, Alexander Tomlinson, Bryce Bellamy, Bradley Anglin, Willow Trizzino, Silas Bellamy, Avalynn Tomlinson, Remington Bellamy, Jasper Trizzino, Delilah Bellamy, Paisley Daniels, Harrison Daniels, Madelyn Melville, Roger McLain and Chandler Melville.
