Russell Ray Hohl, 79, of Gypsum, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, May 18th, 2025.
Russ was born in Marquette, Kansas, on October 24, 1945, to Vera Morrow Hohl and Stanley Hohl. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1963 and soon after joined the Navy Seabees. Russ served four years in the Navy, including time at Midway Island and two tours in Vietnam.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Russ pursued his passion for Mechanical Design and Drafting at Salina Area Vo-Technical School. He went on to work at Schwan’s Tony’s Pizza Service, where he managed the Mechanical Design and Drafting Department for several years before retiring in 2000.
Russ’s family has chosen cremation, and a private family burial will take place at Marquette Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Russell’s memory to the Salina Animal Services.
