Mr. Russell F. “Rusty” Horn

MT. BETHEL Russell F. “Rusty” Horn, 75, of Mt. Bethel, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 2nd, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Russell was born in Phillipsburg, NJ, on December 31, 1946, a son of the late Ralph D. “Foxy” and Olive M. (Reeder) Horn. He was the husband of Marilyn G. (Caracio) Horn. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last August. Russell received his Associate’s Degree from Williamsport Community College. He was the owner and operator of KBR Rentals and Horns Rental Properties in Mt. Bethel, PA. Prior to that, Russell served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and after being Honorably Discharged he began his entrepreneurial endeavors by opening Horn’s Guns and Ammo. After finding his passion for snowmobiling, he then decided to open Horn’s Outdoors Center in Mt. Bethel and then the Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Tug Hill, NY. In addition to snowmobiling, Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stone Church, PA. Russell was a member of the Seabee’s Veterans of America, the Mt. Bethel American Legion Post 216, the Portland Masonic Lodge 311 F+A.M., and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. In addition to his loving wife Marylyn, Russell is survived by two sons Keith Horn, husband of Hope, and Bradley Horn, husband of Dorothy; a brother, R. David Horn, husband of Jane; six grandchildren: Russell J. Horn, Grace E. Cuviello, wife of Jesse, Isabelle and Ariana Horn, Kasandra Vittum, wife of Raymond, and Olivia Kopytowski, wife of Randall, and three great-grandchildren: Tripp and Cora Cuviello, and Christopher Kopytowski. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, March 9th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, “Village of Johnsonville” Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 AM to Noon on Wednesday, March 9th at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Centreville Cemetery in Stone Church, PA. The Horn family requests face coverings to be worn during the visitation times and services in the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 703 S. Delaware Dr., Bangor, PA 18013 or the Mt.
