Roy Spencer “Spence” Miller III
Lubbock – Roy Spencer “Spence” Miller III of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born to R.S. “Bud” Miller, Jr. and Sue Miller Tolley on November 7, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas. He served in the military as a US Navy Seabee. He was a Vietnam veteran and an honored member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from the National Ranching Heritage Center. Spence was a loving husband and a great Papa to his family. He was a hard-working provider who lived for his family. He had such a kind heart, generous spirit and great sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Budro Miller, daughter Amanda Farmer and husband Lindsey Farmer, daughter Lindsey Igo and husband Clay Igo, son Seth Miller and wife Angela Miller. He was loved by his grandchildren Corporal Tycer Farmer of the United States Marine Corps, Tatum Farmer, Spencer Akins, Scarlet Akins, Cooper Igo, Syler Igo, Memphis Miller, Berkley Miller, Rylynn Giles, River Giles. Also survived by mother Sue Tolley and husband Dick Tolley, his best friends; brother Andy Miller, sister Cindy Smith and husband Randy Smith. Loved by step mother Betty Miller, and by Mary’s children Bryan Giles, Jana Giles, Jon and Chelsea Giles, Janae and Joseph Gonzalez.
The family would be honored for you to join them to celebrate his life with a graveside service performed at Peaceful Gardens on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Flowers may be received at Peaceful Gardens.
