Lynn – Ronald “Ron” E. Nestor, 79, of Rochester, New Hampshire, passed away on February 11, 2026, at his home.
Born on May 31, 1946, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Ron was the son of the late Edward Nestor and Ruth (Thomas) Nestor. He was raised in Lynn, Massachusetts and made his home in Danville, NH, Reklaw, Texas, and later Rochester, New Hampshire.
Ron graduated from Lynn Trade School, Class of 1965 and ITT Tech, class of 1970. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War and in the Philippines. He proudly served with the U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Twelve. His dedication and service to his country earned him several commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Combat Operations, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Ron spent his career as an auto body technician and mechanic, working for Bob Brest Buick in Lynn, as well as Massachusetts Electric/National Grid. He was an antique car enthusiast and will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Phaneuf) Nestor, whom he shared almost 25 years of marriage. He also leaves his daughters, Staci Price and her husband Jason of Reklaw, Texas, and Kathy Parker and her husband Frank of Lynn, Massachusetts; his step-son, Eric Eaker and his fiancée, Kristin Crepeau; and several grandchildren, including Emily Taylor and her husband Michael, Lucian Price and his fiancé Victoria Alexander, Jake Parker, Aaron Parker, Kali Eaker, Sarah Eaker, and Chloe Eaker; and great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Noah, and Laken; along with a special extended family and many friends.
Service Information: Ron will be interred at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH with Military Honors on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 3 PM.
