Memorial service for Ronald Edward Wilson will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusty Whisenhunt officiating.

Entombment with Oklahoma Highway Patrol Honors will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
Ronald Edward Wilson, age 78, of Lawton, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 in Lawton. He was born September 9, 1946 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Basil Edward and Frances Lavon (Wainscott) Wilson. Mr. Wilson grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma and graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Navy on January 4, 1966 and served with the Navy Seabees. He served two tours in Antarctica at McMurdo Station. Mr. Wilson received the National Defense Service Medal and the Antarctica Service Medal. He joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1970, ultimately becoming a lieutenant. He retired in 1998. He then went to work as an investigator for the Comanche County District Attorney’s Office until fully retiring. He married Mary Ann Cameron on February 26, 1968 in Christchurch, New Zealand. She died on May 6, 2017.
Survivors include his son, Timothy Wilson, Lawton and his brother, Terry Wilson, Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Liela McClanahan.
