Final Salute

Ronald E. Kinest, 83, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Pamplin, VA.

Born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, on January 29, 1939, he was a son of the late Marie Briggs and Edmund William Kinest. Ron was a US Navy Seabees Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War, and was a self-employed contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Carol M. Kinest, Langhorne, PA; four children, Catherine M. Kinest-Leming and husband Kip of Ft. Myers, FL; Patricia L Atanasio; Charlene E. Kinest both of Beaufort, S.C., and Ron E. Kinest, Jr. of Pamplin; one sister, Joan A. Nemeth of Yardley, PA; and 11 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund W. Kinest and a sister, Delores Salvatora.

A mass of Christian burial officiated by Rev. Andrew Brownholtz will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Yardley, PA on 10/3/22. Viewing will be between 10 am and mass will start at 11am. Burial will take place in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA immediately after mass.
