Robert “Bob” Ronald Kobes, 82, of Menominee passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Menominee Health Services. He was born on November 27, 1942 to the late Francis and Cora (Vandenhogen) Kobes in Green Bay, WI. After the passing of his mother Cora at a young age; Francis married Antoinette Cina, who was a huge part of his life. Bob graduated from West De Pere High School and married Janice Van Lanen on May 8, 1965 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in De Pere. He enlisted in the Army. After serving active duty in the Army during Vietnam, Bob joined the Navy Seabees. He also worked as a welder/fabricator at Tec Systems. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, gardening (even though he didn’t like picking the beans), and making his own crafts. He was a member at Resurrection Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years Janice; one daughter: Jeanine (Greg) Kobes; two sons: Jeff (Kim) Kobes and Frank (Sherry) Kobes; six grandchildren: Brandon, Patrick, Zach, Sawyer, Danyelle, and Danielle; three great-grandchildren: Mei, Kai, and Kaelynn; two sisters: Ruth Van Rite and Pat Van Der Linden; and one sister-in-law: Carol Giovingo; and many other family members and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Antoinette; brother Phil Giovingo; brothers-in-law: Richard Van Rite and George Van Der Linden; and other family members & friends.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 2607 18th St, Menominee MI, beginning at 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Burial for Bob will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00am at Mount Calvary Cemetery in De Pere, Wisconsin. Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the Kobes family with arrangements.
