Richard Moorehead went peacefully home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2024. Richard’s kind, fun loving, and easy going personality always made him easy friends, and the twinkle in his eye was sure to bring a smile to those around him.
Richard understood the importance of giving back to the community. He showed his commitment by serving his country as a Navy Seabee, working as an Assistant Instructor at the Jackson Area Career Center, and coaching countless baseball and softball teams over the years.
He is survived by his sons Luke (Adele) Moorehead, Jon (Cindy) Penn, and daughters Nikki (Jamie) Thomsen, and Tracy (Michael) Whitaker, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Penny, and his parents Doris and Robert.
Join us in Celebrating the Sweet Life of Richard with a dessert bar on October 17, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Deer Run Golf Course.
