Final Salute

METEPEC, Mexico — Richard Lynn Jones Jr., 68, passed away peacefully Sept. 10, 2023.

He was born March 4, 1955, in Bristolville, and was currently residing in Hidalgo State, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Jones Sr. , Sept. 20, 1997.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ramirez Ruiz; daughter, Yasmin Melo Ramirez; son, Josue Salvador Melo Ramirez; his sister-in-law, Edith Aida Ramirez; his mother, Josephine Ruby Jones; his brother, Phil (Diane) Jones; sister Angela (John) Baldwin; his sons, Bret Jones and Jesse (Stephanie) Jones; and his grandchildren, Bella Jones, Quinn Jones, Abbie Jones, Axel Ramirez, Alan Ramirez, Yasmin Ramirez, Yesica Ramirez and Madison Ramirez.

Rick served his country in the Naval Construction Battalion, better known as the Navy Seabees. His most memorable mission as a Seabee was working on the Panama Canal.

Rick retired with more than 20 years of service with Robbins.

Rick enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and he loved to golf. Rick’s quick-witted humor will be missed.

His retirement vision was to spend time with his wife, Patty, relaxing in Mexico.
