An Avid Storyteller and Dispenser of Life Advice, of Lackawanna, at age 91. Dearest Husband of Lucille (nee Lalka) Powers. Beloved Father of Richard J. (Jackie), II, Gregory J. (Judy), Jeffrey B. & Jonathan (Maureen) Powers. Brother of the late Donald (Ann) Powers. Grandfather of Rebecca (William) Heidt, Colleen (Andrew) Braun, Heather, Grant, Nathaniel, Madelyn & Kathryn Powers. Great-Grandfather of Elliana & Theodore Heidt. Visitation Thurs. Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at OUR LADY OF VICTORY NATIONAL SHRINE & BASILICA, Friday (February 27th), 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Powers, a U.S. Navy “Seabees” Veteran & Licensed Master Plumber of 66 Years, was a member of The Patriots Club, Usher at Our Lady of Victory & the Retired Owner of Day & Night Sewer Co.
