Final Salute

Richard A. “Rich” Ciliberti, age 49, of Shelton entered into rest on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born in Bridgeport on September 18, 1972, son of Lynda (Peck) Ciliberti and the late Richard Ciliberti. Rich grew up and resided in Stratford before moving to Shelton. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School. After graduation, he joined the US Navy where he proudly served as a Seabees during the Gulf War. He has been currently employed for over 10 years at the West Haven VA Medical Center. Rich was an avid fisherman. Besides his mother, he was survived by a sister Amy Corris, a niece Mya Corris, a nephew Hunter Corris and his fiancee Sheri Forte and her son Jeffrey. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. On Monday, friends may call from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Family and friends are required to wear masks. On Tuesday, friends may go directly to St. James Roman Catholic Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.
