Final Salute

BURGER, Ray, 82, of Morrow passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at his residence. Born November 3, 1942 in Zoar, OH to Albert and Edna (nee: Hinkle) Burger, he was a 1961 graduate of Little Miami High School. A proud US Navy Seabee, he was active with DAV and enjoyed coaching youth sports. He was a Millwright, retiring in 2001 after 26 years with General Motors.

Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Fay Powell, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra (Sandy) Norine (Nee: Rhoades) Burger, his son, Andrew Ray (Michelle) Burger, his daughters, Shelly Ray (Jeffrey) Steffen and Norine Renee (John) Spoelker, and his six grandchildren, Colton Ray Burger, Maxwell Steffen, Olivia Steffen, Shelby Burger, Alexandra Spoelker and Caroline Spoelker.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10 AM until 12 Noon with funeral service immediately following, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home in Morrow. Dr Mike Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to either Myles Ahead Animal Rescue Or to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati
