Date of passing 01/18/2023

Ralph M. Twaddle, 92, of Plymouth, passed away with his family at his side, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage. He was born April 4, 1930, in Macomb, to Leo and Marie Helmerichs Twaddle. Ralph was united in marriage Nov. 10, 1951, in Colchester to Sylvia Cripe, she preceded him in death on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021.
Surviving to mourn his passing are two sons: Steve (Cyd) Twaddle, Shirley, Ark., Randy (Laura) Twaddle, Blandinsville, one daughter: Sue (Tony) Kennicott, Melbourne, Fla., five grandchildren: April Wolcott, Nathan (Camila Silva) Twaddle, Randy II Twaddle, Katie Twaddle, Brent Kennicott, one great-grandson: William Twaddle.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 70 years Sylvia Twaddle, one brother: Loren “Barney” Twaddle and one sister: Martha Polvina.
Ralph M. Twaddle lived a very full life. If anyone doubts this, then the mountain’s are just big rocks and the ocean just a lot of saltwater. He stood for the principle that there was only right or wrong, no room for gray areas. When Ralph committed to something it was all out. Example being married to Sylvia for 70 years. As a farmer the rows were straight and the livestock well taken care of. Nothing made him happier than any machine running perfectly and he knew how to fine tune it.
Ralph was very proud of being a great husband, father, neighbor and friend. He was a proud Navy Seabee and lived the motto “The impossible takes a little longer.” Nothing was impossible for him and he could fix almost anything. He never gave up and always gave his best. He loved helping others and used his skills, knowledge and resources for anyone in need. Alway eager to help.
In closing, Ralph lived 92-plus wonderful years and if the Pearly Gates aren’t level or they squeak when opening, he can fix them.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation with the family was Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Jones Mortuary. Private graveside service will be held at Scotts Cemetery. Memorial is to Shriners Children’s Hospital. Online condolences and memories may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
