Peter W. Conway, of Bridgewater, passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 62. He was the son of Ann (Smith) and Donald Conway. Peter was born on June 20, 1961 and grew up in Hanson where he was a graduate from Whitman-Hanson High School. He married Caron (Ahearn) in 2001 and the two lived in Pembroke, Florida, and Hanson. Peter served in the United States Navy as a Seabee.
Peter was an easy going and laid back kind of guy. He was generous and somebody who would always be there for you. He enjoyed scratch tickets and playing sudoku. Peter was a golfer and a talented darts player. Above all, he most loved spending time with his family – especially his grandkids.
Peter was the loving husband of Caron (Ahearn) Conway. Father of Jenna Hampe and her husband Richard of South Carolina, John AhearnConway of Bridgewater, James Holmes and his fiancé Courtney Swanson of Hanson, and Joseph Holmes Sr. and his wife Kimberly of Bridgewater. Grandfather of Cayden Holmes, Callie Holmes, Annie Holmes, Hadley Holmes, Joseph Holmes Jr., and Robert Hampe. Brother of Donna Landis, Dennis Conway, David Conway, Marie Real, Sheri Erickson, Lori Conway, Donald Conway, Matt Conway and his wife Kim. He is predeceased by his siblings Paul Conway, Jimmy Conway, and Susan Spring.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 9th from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St. Cor. Rte. 14 & 58, Hanson. Burial will be held the following day at 10:15am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. The funeral procession to Bourne will meet at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hanson at 9am.
Everyone is encouraged to join us after the services in Bourne at the Olde Hitching Post in Hanson around 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Legion Post 226, 92 Robinson Street, Hanson, MA 02341, where Peter was a long time member!
