Mr. Peter Robert Buehling

Peter Robert Buehler was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, the second son born to Anna (nee Raymond) and William E. Buehler.
As a member of Local Union #1122 IUPAT, Peter was a master craftsman in his trade. He traveled often and enjoyed spending time with his family, spending time outside and enjoyed being in the sun. He enjoyed SCUBA, boating, fishing, and spending winters in the Florida Keys. He was a parishioner at Saint Peter’s Church on Big Pine Key, Florida, Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, Connecticut and Saint Joan of Arc Church in Spring Hill, Florida. He was a combat veteran in Vietnam as a Seabee, and was a life member of the VFW. He declined a medal for valor as he felt he “was only doing his duty.” He was a loving son, beloved husband, and devoted father.
He was predeceased by Anna and William Buehler and grandson, Jonathan Lee Stewart.
Peter leaves his wife, Gisele (nee Pitre), a son, Aaron Thomas Buehler of Voluntown, Connecticut, a daughter, Anna Christine Stewart (nee Buehler), son-in-law Sean Paul Stewart and grandchild, Ian Charles Stewart of North Stonington, Connecticut. He predeceases three brothers: William “Harry” Buehler (Jean) of Spring Hill, Florida; Thomas A. Buehler (Michel) of Oneco, Connecticut; Paul R. Buehler (Sabrina) of North Stonington, Connecticut, and multiple nephews, nieces and cousins.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5 to 7 pm at the Chapel of Brewer & Sons Funeral Home at Seven Hills. There will be prayers offered by Celebrant Father Patrick Rebel from St. Joan of Arc Church. Peter will be laid to rest in Connecticut following a Mass of Christian burial. Date and time to follow.
